Let’s just say that I am not the neatest person in the world. I would do the "everyday" pick up that has to be done with kids and then call it quits. I hated doing laundry, notice how that is past tense? I didn't like to sweep, mop or vacuum. But now, now that I have kept up on the house cleaning, call it nesting or whatever you want, but for me I call it "happy cleaning". Happy cleaning because there is a huge difference in my attitude and in the attitude of Jake and the kids. We are much more organized, cheerful and relaxed. It’s hard to relax when there are things that need to be done. There is no more looking through four different laundry baskets just to find a pair of socks. I now fold and put away the laundry as it comes out of the dryer. I love it. I would wash laundry every day, but never would I fold it and put it away on the same day. Then when it got to be so bad I would fold all of it in one day and that would take hours, now it just take minutes. Thanks to my mom and yes Jake who all along has said, "If you just do it and keep up on it, it will save you time, energy and stress". So now I have a happy home all to "happy cleaning". And if you are ever in the neighborhood and stop to say hi I will invite you in, because my home is a happy clean home.
For Samantha's 3rd Birthday party we went to Chuck-E-Cheese with all of my family and Jake's family. Here are the pictures from her party.
We had such a wonderful time. I know that Samantha loves all her Aunt, Uncles, Cousins and Grandparents. And I know that they all love her in return. Besides being the center of attention her most favorite thing (next to the love of her life Uncle Caleb) was her Thomas the Train Cake. She asks for Birthday cake now everyday. We love you Samantha and had such a fun day celebrating YOU!
Cameron's first hair cut. Let’s just say he was less than thrilled to be having this done. He was good for about 2.5 seconds. He was screaming, kicking just plain old MAD. I finally had to hold his head and let Aunt Brooke do her job, and what an AMAZING job she did. She really was like Edward Scissor Hands. I love his hair cut it really turned out so cute, he is now all boy.
On February 23rd Cameron had to have his Adenoids taken out and tubes placed in both ears. We had to be at Primary Children’s Hospital at 9:30 in the morning to get checked in for his surgery that was scheduled for 11:00. It took from 9:30 to 11:00 to get him registered, have all his vitals taken meet with his Surgeon, the Anesthesiologist as well as his O.R. nurse. From the time they took him back at 11:00 to the time the surgeon came out to the waiting room to tell us he was done and how it went was 25 minutes. I am so glad it is done, and now two days later he acts like he didn't even have surgery. He really is doing so good and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I am so proud of Cameron and I love the fact that he won't even remember ever having this done. On a side note at Primary Children’s Hospital they do a mask Anesthesia to put them to sleep first and then put in his IV, so no needles shots or pokes why he is awake. Which as his mother is the best part; I couldn't stand it if I had to hold him down for them to give him his IV, the worst part of any surgery.
Here are a few pictues of Cameron in his adorable old man hospital gown.
Genetics? Are they good or bad? If you look at Cameron's beautiful red hair or Samantha's amazing smile and red full lips then yes they are a good thing. But along with all the good does come a little bad. When Jake was three years old he had to have is tonsils out as well as his adenoids...twice. I had mine taken out when I was 18..but just once. Now if you ask me our kids don't have a very fare chance of keeping their tonsils or adenoids now do they? Nope they don't. Samantha had her adenoids taken out 3 days after her first birthday. And we just took Cameron in too see the ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat Doctor) yesterday. They said he has 90% nasal blockage and fluid in both ears. Now a little adenoid lesson. Your adenoids are not suppose to reach full size until about age 7 or 8. His at age 17 months are full grown, on a scale of 1-4 in size his are a "definite 4" as the Doctor said. That is how Jake's were and Samantha's and now Cameron, huge at a young age. So on February 23rd Cameron will be having is adenoids out and tubes placed in his ears. I don't want him to have to get this done, but could you imagine being able to only breath through your mouth 100% of the time because you have a permanent stuffed up nose? I couldn't, how miserable he must feel, but like Jake said, "Samantha was fine within just a few days and so will Cameron". So here is to Genetics. The good, the bad, the ugly and the beautiful you make us who we all are.
...Sneeze, hick-up, cough, jump, trip, throw up, laugh, cry, run, walk, stub my toe, sit down and stand up, I pee my pants.
I will never again be able too...
... Jump on the tramp, jump rope, do jumping jacks, let’s just say JUMP.
Yes, at age 25 and pregnant with my third child I have lost complete bladder control, and YES I am able to laugh about it... while peeing my pants of course.
Happy Birthday to an Elect Lady. To a lady who puts all of your needs before her own. To a lady who will show up at your house just to give her grand kids a kiss. To a lady that is always just a phone call away, even if you have to try the house phone, the cell phone and her work phone, you know she will answer one of them. To a Lady who will cry when you cry and laugh when you laugh. To a lady who raised 5 wonderful children. To a lady (grandma) of 11 grand kids. Happy Birthday to an Elect Lady that will be your best friend. A lady you can trust your dreams and your secrets with. Happy Birthday to a wonderful mother. I owe you so much and am so grateful for you and for that fact that I get to call you mom. Love me.
If you know my Samantha D then you know that she can't just WALK anywhere, she has to dance, run, leap, bounce, twirl, skip, hop, jump to any place she is going. She often refers to herself as 'Tigger' because she just has to bounce all the time. For her Birthday we put her in DANCE class, and boy does she love it. On her first day at dance she walked into her class room like "I have arrived" she didn't even look back at me, she just did it. I was so proud of her and the confidence that she has as a three year old, but also a little sad. It was at that moment that she had truly grown up and had no baby or little, little girl in her. I almost felt like she was off to kindergarte. You mothers know that feeling that when your child has reached a mile marker or has accomplished something on there own that you yourself was not ready for them to do, she did it. I know some of you might be saying "its just dance class", but not for my Samantha. For her it was the fact that she had the confidence to walk into that class room without mom or dad and have the door shut behind her. I think one of my biggest fears as a mother for my children is, "will I be able to give them or help build up the confidence they need as they grow up". My fear has been somewhat diminished, at least for Samantha. Its amazing how one little dance class one day a week has changed her confidence. She often says, "I can do it mom, because I am in dance". I love her for that. And I hope she never looses that attitude in life "I have arrived and I can do it".
Happy Birthday my Samantha D. What a blessing you are in my life and in the life of all those around you. I can't even believe that you are three and as you say it " I am so big". Yes, you are so big Samantha. I am so happy to be your mother. I look forward to these many wonderful years we will have together as our friendship grows and as you grow. I love you and am so proud of you and what a wonderful, fun, loving, energetic, happy, smiley, bouncy little girl you are. Happy THIRD Birthday my Sammie D I love you, Love MOM.
... on Christmas Eve me and my brothers and sisters there kids and my mom and dad went up to the sand pit behind my house to go sledding down the mountain (which for Luke and Abbie was really ROLLING down the mountain) and to be pulled behind the four wheeler. It was so much fun, and another Coil family tradition has been created... and so from now on, on every Christmas Eve you can find us rolling and sledding down the mountain behind my house.
Me and Cameron all bundled up
Jake, Samantha and Cameron, I don't know about you, but I don't think Cameron looks all that excited to be doing this.
I can't even believe that this is me 27 weeks pregnant with my third baby.
I had a Doctor appointment today, my Doctor did an ultra-sound and he said the baby looks wonderful. He is 2 pound 5 ounces and just as active as can be. this picture was taken a week ago at my family's Christmas party at 27 weeks, but as of today I am 28 weeks, every week counts. I want Logan here now, but I just keep telling myself that I just need to be patient and he will come. I love being pregnant and am always a little sad when its over so I am just trying to enjoy this time.
One of Samantha and Cameron's most favorite things to do is ride/walk there bike/walker up and down the driveway. We spend hours upon hours out in our front yard playing. I don't know what we are going to do when the snow comes, I guess maybe go up and down the driveway with a sled and Jake's four-wheeler, just a thought.
This afternoon after a fun day at Grandmas Samantha, Cameron and I went for a walk. We found two Lady Bugs, Sammie said they were a mom and dad Lady Bug going for a walk just like us. Life sure is great.
ITS A BOY, Logan E Lawson!!! Jake and I are so excited to announce that we are having another little BOY. I think Jake is more excited just to have another hunting buddy and another son to pass the family business down to. Everything on the ultra-sound looked so good. He is healthy and growing. During the ultra-sound we even got a picture of him sucking his thumb. I can't believe I am half way, my Doctor was even talking about a due date and if I want to be induced what day I would go on. He said these next few months will go bye so fast he just want to be prepared. I am so happy to be a mother and feel so blessed to have these sweet spirits in my home. I know that my Father in Heaven is entrusting me with his children to teach and to raise and I thank him everyday for all my children, Samantha D, Cameron J and now Logan E. I pray that I can be everything to my children as my mother was to me and as my Father in Heaven wants me to be.
A couple of days ago I was at my parents house for lunch and I'm sitting at the table with my mom and dad when my dad said he heard a song on the radio that reminded him so much of my family that he renamed it "The Lawson Family Song". Really its Lonestars song "My Front Porch Looking In", but once you see the words then you will know how well it truly fits my family. Here they are...
"There's a carrot top who can barely walk With a sippy cup of milk A little blue eyed blonde with shoes on wrong 'Cause she likes to dress herself And the most beautiful girl holding both of them And the view I love the most Is my front porch looking in"
Thanks dad, I have always loved this song, but I love it even more now and it truly has a special meaning in my heart. I love hearing a song that puts an immediate smile on my face because it makes me think of the people I love the most. I love my little carrot top Cameron and my little Miss diva Samantha who really does have to dress herself, and who is in love with shoes.
Happy Birthday my sweet and cuddly angel boy. I can't believe that it was one year ago today that I held you in my arms for the first time. From the moment you were placed in my arms we had an instant bond. And now a year later that mother and son bond has grown even stronger. Cameron you have grown and gotten so big this past year. Some of you mile markers you have reached are: kisses, hugs, hi-five, saying, "momma" and "dad" and even taking a few steps to max the dog. Cameron, you have so many people in this life that love you. First your mom and dad, second your sister Samantha followed by Grandparents and Great Grandparents, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cameron, I love you and am so proud to be you mother. Every where we go you get so many women just cooing over you and it makes me so proud that you are mine. Cameron I will always be there for you in what ever you need and I just pray that that bond we have continues to grow. Happy First Birthday Cameron, I Love You, Love MOM.
Cameron and I the day he was born at the hospital Cameron and I when he is 9 months old
Book Club... I am really wanting to start a book club, and now that summer is staring to come to an end I thought there would be no better time to start then now. What better thing to do when its cold outside than read?! The plan: Pick a book, pick a time line to have it read by, then get together and do what we all do best. Talk (about the book, even if just for a couple of minutes). I want anyone who loves to read to join and if you have heard of a good book or have a book you want to read let me know. I think I want to start with "The Time Traveler's Wife". And please the more people we have the better. You can e-mail me at danidaisy84@hotmail.com with your info or just leave me a comment and then we can get this put together. Thanks for your support.
