CHRISTMAS EVE

~CHRISTMAS EVE~

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house the only thing stirring was D with her mouse (left click, right click) Jake, Samantha and Cameron were all snug in there beds while D stayed up blogging to excited to sleep. The lights are twinkling and the presents have been placed, Santa has come and left with out a trace. The stockings are filled with stickers and more in hopes that Samantha will not stick them to the floor. Animal trains for Cameron and a new Doll with a stroller for Samantha, a shirt or two for Jake and a knife set for D. Now, time for bed, need to get this posted, its 11:59 Christmas Eve is almost Christmas. Oops, to late its now Christmas, so Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

Christmas

CHRISTMAS
I love Christmas. I love this time of year and I can't wait until Samantha and Cameron are old enough to get it. Not just the Santa and the gift thing, but the true meaning of Christmas. Christ and his birth...The ultimate gift... What is the ultimate gift? Is it that one toy your just dying to have. That new pair of shoes. What about the $100 pair of jeans. Or is it more, more than what money can bye? You can't find it at a store or bye it on line. It doesn't even cost money. Its not free, but its not expensive. Christ and his birth... his life...his ministry...his plan...his suffering...his death...his Resurrection...his gift to us...our life...our choice to choose... family...eternity...what more could we want? What more could we ask for? What else is there that we need?

Sibling Love~

Sibling Love~
Samantha loves HER baby brother so much. Every morning when she first wakes up she says "BABY" with a huge grin. She is always needing to know were Cameron is and what he is doing. Samantha is so sweet to him and really is Cameron's second mom. I love her and the big help she is (most) of the time. She loves changing his diaper for me, she can even take it off even when I'm not ready for her to and she says "I help mommy". How sweet, she truly is my ANGEL girl and I love her so much. I can truly see how much Samantha Loves her baby brother. And about 2 weeks ago it was so sweet I had Cameron on my lap talking to me and he as a champ at cooooing, he was smiling and talking so much. Well Samantha came and sat next to us and started talking to him and he looked right at her and gave her the biggest grin ever and then she looked at me at I looked at her then we both looked back at Cameron and we all three, even Cameron just started laughing. It was so sweet to see Cameron interact with Samantha. She now loves to talk to him and when he is getting fussy or tired of being in the swing she can go over and talk to him and he just stares at her and loves her so much. They truly will be best friends. That is the best part of being a mom, when your children smile at each other and you can tell that the love each other.
Samantha and Cameron having there first slumber party on the floor watching Elmo. I love her little arm around his shoulders. She kept it like that until he fell asleep.
Nesquik + Samantha = One Messy Girl,
One day I was busy making dinner when Samantha wanted some chocolate milk. I told her I would get her some in a minute, but we all know Samantha and how persistent she can be. She decided she would get it on her own. She went into the pantry got out the Nesquik and a large spoon (I don't remember giving her the spoon, but there is no way she could have gotten that on her own) let me mind you no milk and started spooning the chocolate in by the mouth full. What an angel girl, she truly is Grandma Kaylee's granddaughter. Lets just say that Samantha lOVEs Chocolate. PS: it makes me feel better to know that Cameron was only a few days old when this happened, so I really do watch her.

Giving Thanks

Truly we have so much to be grateful for. As we went around the table, family was the first gift we all said we were grateful for. Though we weren't all together, all together we have a beautiful family. I am so grateful for my Matthew, each of our children and their spouses, and like every grandma, I am grateful for the most perfect grandchildren in the world.

D's famous 12 layer jello, with a twist. This year she made each of us our own individual jello. Cool!
"Our cup runneth over"
When I was a little girl I remember sitting around the table with my family and watching them drink from their saucer the coffee that had spilled out of their cup. If you are drinking from the saucer, your cup is running over. We are loved by Heavenly Father and He provides for our needs.
