Chuck E Cheese

For Samantha's 3rd Birthday party we went to Chuck-E-Cheese with all of my family and Jake's family. Here are the pictures from her party.

We had such a wonderful time. I know that Samantha loves all her Aunt, Uncles, Cousins and Grandparents. And I know that they all love her in return. Besides being the center of attention her most favorite thing (next to the love of her life Uncle Caleb) was her Thomas the Train Cake. She asks for Birthday cake now everyday. We love you Samantha and had such a fun day celebrating YOU!

First Hair Cut.

Cameron's first hair cut. Let’s just say he was less than thrilled to be having this done. He was good for about 2.5 seconds. He was screaming, kicking just plain old MAD. I finally had to hold his head and let Aunt Brooke do her job, and what an AMAZING job she did. She really was like Edward Scissor Hands. I love his hair cut it really turned out so cute, he is now all boy.

Adenoidectomy and Tubes in the Ears.

On February 23rd Cameron had to have his Adenoids taken out and tubes placed in both ears. We had to be at Primary Children’s Hospital at 9:30 in the morning to get checked in for his surgery that was scheduled for 11:00. It took from 9:30 to 11:00 to get him registered, have all his vitals taken meet with his Surgeon, the Anesthesiologist as well as his O.R. nurse. From the time they took him back at 11:00 to the time the surgeon came out to the waiting room to tell us he was done and how it went was 25 minutes. I am so glad it is done, and now two days later he acts like he didn't even have surgery. He really is doing so good and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I am so proud of Cameron and I love the fact that he won't even remember ever having this done. On a side note at Primary Children’s Hospital they do a mask Anesthesia to put them to sleep first and then put in his IV, so no needles shots or pokes why he is awake. Which as his mother is the best part; I couldn't stand it if I had to hold him down for them to give him his IV, the worst part of any surgery.

Here are a few pictues of Cameron in his adorable old man hospital gown.

Genetics?

Genetics? Are they good or bad? If you look at Cameron's beautiful red hair or Samantha's amazing smile and red full lips then yes they are a good thing. But along with all the good does come a little bad. When Jake was three years old he had to have is tonsils out as well as his adenoids...twice. I had mine taken out when I was 18..but just once. Now if you ask me our kids don't have a very fare chance of keeping their tonsils or adenoids now do they? Nope they don't. Samantha had her adenoids taken out 3 days after her first birthday. And we just took Cameron in too see the ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat Doctor) yesterday. They said he has 90% nasal blockage and fluid in both ears. Now a little adenoid lesson. Your adenoids are not suppose to reach full size until about age 7 or 8. His at age 17 months are full grown, on a scale of 1-4 in size his are a "definite 4" as the Doctor said. That is how Jake's were and Samantha's and now Cameron, huge at a young age. So on February 23rd Cameron will be having is adenoids out and tubes placed in his ears. I don't want him to have to get this done, but could you imagine being able to only breath through your mouth 100% of the time because you have a permanent stuffed up nose? I couldn't, how miserable he must feel, but like Jake said, "Samantha was fine within just a few days and so will Cameron". So here is to Genetics. The good, the bad, the ugly and the beautiful you make us who we all are.

When I ...

...Sneeze, hick-up, cough, jump, trip, throw up, laugh, cry, run, walk, stub my toe, sit down and stand up, I pee my pants.

I will never again be able too...

... Jump on the tramp, jump rope, do jumping jacks, let’s just say JUMP.

Yes, at age 25 and pregnant with my third child I have lost complete bladder control, and YES I am able to laugh about it... while peeing my pants of course.
