CHRISTMAS EVE

~CHRISTMAS EVE~

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house the only thing stirring was D with her mouse (left click, right click) Jake, Samantha and Cameron were all snug in there beds while D stayed up blogging to excited to sleep. The lights are twinkling and the presents have been placed, Santa has come and left with out a trace. The stockings are filled with stickers and more in hopes that Samantha will not stick them to the floor. Animal trains for Cameron and a new Doll with a stroller for Samantha, a shirt or two for Jake and a knife set for D. Now, time for bed, need to get this posted, its 11:59 Christmas Eve is almost Christmas. Oops, to late its now Christmas, so Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

Christmas

CHRISTMAS
I love Christmas. I love this time of year and I can't wait until Samantha and Cameron are old enough to get it. Not just the Santa and the gift thing, but the true meaning of Christmas. Christ and his birth...The ultimate gift... What is the ultimate gift? Is it that one toy your just dying to have. That new pair of shoes. What about the $100 pair of jeans. Or is it more, more than what money can bye? You can't find it at a store or bye it on line. It doesn't even cost money. Its not free, but its not expensive. Christ and his birth... his life...his ministry...his plan...his suffering...his death...his Resurrection...his gift to us...our life...our choice to choose... family...eternity...what more could we want? What more could we ask for? What else is there that we need?

Sibling Love~

Sibling Love~
Samantha loves HER baby brother so much. Every morning when she first wakes up she says "BABY" with a huge grin. She is always needing to know were Cameron is and what he is doing. Samantha is so sweet to him and really is Cameron's second mom. I love her and the big help she is (most) of the time. She loves changing his diaper for me, she can even take it off even when I'm not ready for her to and she says "I help mommy". How sweet, she truly is my ANGEL girl and I love her so much. I can truly see how much Samantha Loves her baby brother. And about 2 weeks ago it was so sweet I had Cameron on my lap talking to me and he as a champ at cooooing, he was smiling and talking so much. Well Samantha came and sat next to us and started talking to him and he looked right at her and gave her the biggest grin ever and then she looked at me at I looked at her then we both looked back at Cameron and we all three, even Cameron just started laughing. It was so sweet to see Cameron interact with Samantha. She now loves to talk to him and when he is getting fussy or tired of being in the swing she can go over and talk to him and he just stares at her and loves her so much. They truly will be best friends. That is the best part of being a mom, when your children smile at each other and you can tell that the love each other.
Samantha and Cameron having there first slumber party on the floor watching Elmo. I love her little arm around his shoulders. She kept it like that until he fell asleep.
Nesquik + Samantha = One Messy Girl,
One day I was busy making dinner when Samantha wanted some chocolate milk. I told her I would get her some in a minute, but we all know Samantha and how persistent she can be. She decided she would get it on her own. She went into the pantry got out the Nesquik and a large spoon (I don't remember giving her the spoon, but there is no way she could have gotten that on her own) let me mind you no milk and started spooning the chocolate in by the mouth full. What an angel girl, she truly is Grandma Kaylee's granddaughter. Lets just say that Samantha lOVEs Chocolate. PS: it makes me feel better to know that Cameron was only a few days old when this happened, so I really do watch her.

Giving Thanks

Truly we have so much to be grateful for. As we went around the table, family was the first gift we all said we were grateful for. Though we weren't all together, all together we have a beautiful family. I am so grateful for my Matthew, each of our children and their spouses, and like every grandma, I am grateful for the most perfect grandchildren in the world.

D's famous 12 layer jello, with a twist. This year she made each of us our own individual jello. Cool!
"Our cup runneth over"
When I was a little girl I remember sitting around the table with my family and watching them drink from their saucer the coffee that had spilled out of their cup. If you are drinking from the saucer, your cup is running over. We are loved by Heavenly Father and He provides for our needs.

Fall Fun

When Jake and I moved into our house we had lost our camera. I was so sad because Samantha was growing up right in front of our eyes and we had no way of capturing those precious moments. Well, I finally found the camera and found some adorable pictures of Samantha. Here is a few of what I found...

Her first HALLOWEEN costume as an adorable ladybug.

Her famous HUGE smile.
Her very first visit to the PUMPKIN patch. OOH, I want to eat it!

the PUMPKIN patch

We had so much fun at the PUMPKIN patch as a family of four. It was freezing so I bundled Samantha up in her beautiful purple coat. She went running from PUMPKIN to PUMPKIN trying as hard as she could to pick up the biggest PUMPKINS possible. As you can see she finally settled for a smaller one...

and let daddy Jake pick up the bigger one and put it in the wagon. Samantha loved riding in the wagon with the PUMPKINS until the big one rolled on top of her. It was a very successful trip we got 40lbs. of PUMPKIN now Jake and I are fighting to see who is going to carve them, and sense it is the day before HALLOWEEN I bet neither one of us will. But they will still look cute for Thanksgiving.

18 months old and so big. For Samantha's 18 month pictures I decided instead of going to have her pictures done at a studio I would have Grandma Kay take them for me outside at grandmas house, Samantha's favorite place ever. If you know Sam then you know how out going and happy she is so I put her in her swimsuit put her sunglasses and hat on her and had grandma just aim and shoot. She was so funny, talk about working the camera. To get Sam to smile all you have to do is give her food or let her play in water and that is exactly what we did. She wouldn't stop smiling, I think we took at least a hundred pictures of her in less than 30 minutes. Way to work it girl friend!!!

Summer 2008! I can't believe that summer is over. Its a bitter sweet felling when it starts to cool down and you can feel fall just around the corner. The Lawson family had such a great summer. I took Samantha swimming to Cherry Hill at least two times a week. She is so brave. She now jumps off the side of the pool head first, I can't control her I call her my little fish she even does a fish face that is so cute. On the days that we didn't go to the pool we were at grandma Kay's house eating Popsicles and playing in the water at her house. I love her expression in these pictures. Aunt Shay took these before they moved. Her face is priceless.

One hot girl!!! I bought Samantha these sunglasses for the summer and she loves them so much. Every time she puts them on her attitude changes like "I am so cool". She really is so cute. I love my little (big) girl so much. I can't believe how much she is growing up and how fast time really does go by.

My Official Blog

Hi everyone! I am so excited to finally have a blog. Here is an update on my life... I currently live in Farmington with my 2 most favorite people in the whole world, Jake and Sammie! I also have a son on the way, Cameron, who will be here in September, and I can't wait! My life is full of happiness. Sammie is such a firecracker, but I lover her to pieces. Her girly attitude cracks me up. I don't know where she gets her attitutde!! Maybe, just maybe from her mom. :) For example, today I took her shopping to Gymboree to find Cameron a cute "coming home" outfit. While there she found some adorable bright red shoes. She picked them up and would not let go of them. She even tried to put them on her feet herself! When I tried to put them back, her little heart just melted. She screamed and cried. She had real tears streaming from her eyes, they were even the big ones. So, my Mommy's heart finally gave in and yes, I did buy them. How could I not?! I couldn't even pay for them fast enough! But as soon as I finally got them on her feet, she was the happiest girl ever. She had her "Sammie Face" back on. "Sammie Face" meaning a grin from ear to ear, bright twinkly blue eyes, and giggles all around. As soon as we left the store, Sammie would not stop staring at her new red shoes. Oh boy, I've already turned my one and a half year old girl into the ultimate shopper! I'm sure her daddy is so proud! Anyways, as you can see we have SOO much fun together! Sammie is my best friend. Together her and Jake are the light of my life! I love being a wife, and even more so, I love being a mom! Life is fun, I couldn't be happier. And yay for finally having a blog!
